Wynn & Wilson

Garmin GPS Voice Studio

If you prefer to let your friends or loved ones guide you in your next adventure, instead of the preloaded voice on your Garmin nüvi.,  then Voice Studio is the answer for you. Voice Studio lets you create custom voices for your nüvi. With just a microphone (recommended) and your computer, you can record and upload custom voices to your device. The software guides you through the process of recording a list of words and phrases and downloading the recordings to your device.

It's fun, easy and great way to add your own personality to your device!

Einstein the Beagle

My name is Einstein and I am one very fun beagle! I haven't had it easy so far, but they say that things are looking up for me now. After being neglected and ignored before coming to OOAKP, I contracted heartworm. I have been treated for the illness and I am recovering nicely in the shelter. If you don't know about heartworm, the two most important things about it is that it's NOT contagious and that keeping up-to-date on all vaccines and other meds with any pet is the best way to prevent it. I'm glad to be in a safe place that takes care of me, however, I'm anxious to learn what a real home is like. You should probably know a few things about me before you come and meet me! I am so playful... I love toys and playing outside with other dogs and humans. They've tried me with a lot of dogs here, from young to old, and I get along with all of them :) Even with this unfortunate past, I am still one of the happiest boys at the shelter, and I would do great in just about any kind of family. So don't delay, come visit me today... I won't be here long with this face :)

Superstorm Sandy Drive

Here's a great excuse to do some spring cleaning! WQMX and our sister stations WAKR and WONE will be accpeting donations for the vvictims of Superstorm Sandy this Satruday April 27 from 9 AM to 4 PM. A semi-truck will be set up in our parking lot at 1795 West Market St, Akron, OH. Please bring donations of new, and clean, gently-used clothing, household items, school supplies and non- perishable food for those survivors of Super Storm Sandy’s wrath and now are facing the nearly insurmountable task of putting the pieces of their lives back together.

The event is sponsored locally by JW Didado working with the HALO Foundation (Hope Always Lives On) is a 501 (c) 3, non-profit organization, based in Akron, Ohio, embracing the concept of promoting service for those in crisis, including charitable activities, as seeds of hope and restoration.
