I want him! Jordon is just that sweet. He is a perfect little guy in color, size and looks. Weighing in at around 28 pounds makes him a bit on the small side. He was agreeable in his photo-shoot and seemed very concerned for his surroundings. After all, this boy appears to be use to a house and a couch but we believe was intentionally dumped in the park system with his companion (a Chow). Both appear to be happy and well-adjusted but were definitely hungry when offered treats. Who knows how many days they went without food??? Don’t delay … let’s get this little guy into a loving home today!

Note: Please keep in mind that all adoptable pets need time to decompress once they enter a home. For some it will happen quickly and for others it might take a few weeks. You'll want to be understanding of what they have been through and their level of insecurity. We ask that you treat all of them as if they were an 8 week old puppy. Assume they know nothing and begin at step one. You'll soon know what they are capable of and what behaviors you will need to kindly work on with your new family member. It's called commitment! And, that's what these pets want more than anything!

What a mature CHARMER!!! Did you know that approximately 25% of all dogs and puppies in a shelter will be purebred or of a designer breed. Designer breeds are two desirable breeds that are mated for the sole purpose of producing highly-salable puppies for profit. Yep ... crazy isn't it! People purchase pets and then, often, loose their commitment to be a pet parent. This is not uncommon in higher socioeconomic situations where the larger sum of money to purchase the pet wasn't a factor and pets are viewed as disposable. And, there are sometimes when these pets are in a shelter because they have wandered away from home and have never been reclaimed by their owner or were surrendered by their owner. Whatever the reason, it is important to know that you can find an amazing selection of deserving, orphaned dogs at Summit County Animal Control. Because they are always so exceptional, they won't be here long! Don't delay ... let's get these deserving dogs in a home today! Thank you, photographer, Olivia Mandala, for capturing their cuteness!
