So shy ... so sweet. So concerned for her surroundings. Because she is Lab, this is one highly adoptable dog! Meet Countess Chocula (I'm not crazy about this name and thank goodness she doesn't know the name!) ... Did you know that Labs are the #1 most desired breed in this country? And, the number one breed to end up orphaned in shelters too. Why? Because breeders over-breed to meet the demands of the public. Given the proper nurturing, these dogs are smart and loyal and a best friend for life! C.C. loves attention and wants to be with people. She is one very sweet dog and was extremely agreeable in her photo-shoot. She will need kind training to become the dog that she was born to be and to help her to build some confidence. Don't delay ... C.C. is looking for her family today!
Note: Please keep in mind that all adoptable pets need time to decompress once they enter a home. For some it will happen quickly and for others it might take a few weeks. You'll want to be understanding of what they have been through and their level of insecurity. We ask that you treat all of them as if they were an 8 week old puppy. Assume they know nothing and begin at step one. You'll soon know what they are capable of and what behaviors you will need to work on with your new family member. It's called commitment! And, that's what these pets want more than anything!
