Blake Shelton withThe Oak Ridge Boys, Chris Stapleton, Florida Georgia Line, Jason Aldean, Keith Urban,
Luke Bryan and Thomas Rhett have all landed performance spots on theCMT Music Awards. Also performing
will be special guests Brett Eldredgeand Maren Morris.
The show will air live from Nashville's Bridgestone Arena on June 8th.
Less than a year after his divorce form his his wife Lacey, Jake Owen thought he'd be putting together an album of break-up songs. Instead, he's singing about love on his new album, American Love.
He says, “I started down that path and then I realized that, for me, making music is about feeling as good as the listeners
that get to hear it. I have to make an album that I enjoy singing every night.”
Though it wasn't intentional, the 11 songs on the album represent love in all of its forms.
Chris Stapleton makes an appearance on American Love, which comes out July 29th.

Brad Paisley launches his 2016 Life Amplified tour on May 19th in Sacramento, California. He's taking Tyler Farr
and Maddie and Tae out as his openers. So far he is hitting 34 cities and touring through October, but he does plan
on adding more dates. They will all be at Blossom on September 16th!
Jennifer Nettles remembers having just five minutes to convince Jennifer Lopez to sing on “My House,” the last song
on her new Playing With Fire album. Big Machine Label Group president Scott Borchetta asked JLo to spend a few
minutes with J Nett during this most recent season of American Idol.
Jennifer Nettles says, “At the end of the day the things that keep us up in the middle of the night with worry, or that we
dream for our kids or make us laugh … those are all the same.”“My House” takes that idea head on, with JNett even
calling herself Jenny from the Dirt Road at one point before JLo answers with “I’m Jenny from the block.”

Save the date! Luke Bryan and Jason Derulo's episode of CMT Crossroads premieres on May 21st.
The two traded vocals on songs including Luke's “That’s My Kinda Night,” “Country Girl (Shake It for Me),”
“Strip It Down” and “Move,” as well as Jason’s “Want to Want Me,” “Talk Dirty to Me,” “Trumpets” and his new
single, “If It Ain’t Love.”
Chris Young and Cassadee Pope's number-one hit, "Think of You," has been a springboard for Cassadee's career. She says the success of the song has been
a source of inspiration as she's making her own album.
Cassadee loved working with Chris so much that she just knows there will be another collaboration with him when
the right song comes along. She says it just has to happen again.
Cassadee has signed on to open for Chris again when he hits the road this fall.

Keith Urban will take his Ripcord tour to Canada this fall.
He says, “Our Canadian shows have always been off-the-hook giant parties. From the very first shows I ever did, there was a synergy with the audience that’s only grown
stronger over the years."
Joining him will be Maren Morris and Canadian country artist Dallas Smith.
Keith's Ripcord album comes out on May 6th and he will be at Blossom on July 15th!
The Band Perry are going for gold. The trio’s song “Live Forever” is making its way to the Olympics!
In a post to Facebook this week, the siblings revealed that “Live Forever” has become Team USA’s official song for the
2016 Olympics. The Band Perry announced the news alongside a new video of the song that showcases several athletes from
the Team USA getting ready for the event.
The 2016 Olympics will take place in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil, beginning August 5.

Blake Shelton is in high demand. After a successful stint of sold-out tour dates earlier this year, he will head back out on the road this fall.
Blake will kick off his tour in his home state of Oklahoma in September. The tour wraps up in Brooklyn, New York
in the beginning of October.
His new album, If I’m Honest comes out on May 20th.
Kelsea Ballerini now has a second golden record to hang on her wall, thanks to the sales of her second single “Dibs,”
which has been officially certified Gold.
She earned a gold certification on her first single, “Love Me Like You Mean It,” marking 500,000 copies sold.

Randy Houser and his fiancee Tatiana are counting down the days until their May wedding.
They've been busy for planning the wedding since their engagement last year. Randy is in charge of the music
and has even written a song for their first dance as a surprise for his bride on their big day.
Tatiana's dress will be a surprise to both the bride and groom. She's having it designed and made in Australia,
and won't see it until a few days before the wedding.
Martina McBride and Jennifer Nettles will appear on HSN to promote their new albums.
Martina will perform songs from her album Reckless on Sunday. Jennifer will sing songs from Playing With Fire
on April 26th.
Reckless comes out on April 29th, and Playing With Fire will be released on May 13th.

Carrie Underwood's husband, hockey player Mike Fisher, got to duet withGarth Brooks recently -- which sent Carrie straight to Instagram.
She captions the video of Mike and Garth singing "The River" by writing, "How is it that my hubby Mike Fisher gets
to sing with THE Garth Brooks before I do? As payback, I think I'll try to see if Wayne Gretzky wants to play a pick-up hockey game sometime!"
A while back, Carrie captured an unsuspecting Mike singing "The River" along with the radio in the car, after which Garth
issued an invitation for him to sing along sometime.
Blake Shelton contributes the song "Friends" to the soundtrack of the animated movie Angry Birds.
Blake voices the hillbilly pig Earl in the movie, which also features Jason Sudeikis, Maya Rudolph, Bill Hader, Peter Dinklage,
Kate McKinnon and Sean Penn.
The movie, based on the smartphone game opens next month.

The first Rascal Flatts restaurant is scheduled to open in Cleveland.
The 10,000-square-foot bar and restaurant will open in the Flats East area of the city, and will play host to the band,
as well as other country acts.
The Flatts, whose roots are in the Columbus, Ohio area, have been talking about the restaurant for the last four years.
The venue is expected to open this year.
Carrie Underwood has extended her Storyteller tour through the fall. The first leg wraps in London, Ontario on May 30th,
but she picks things up in Spokane, Washington on September 4th. She will stop in Cleveland on May 18th.

It's confirmed! Season four winner Carrie Underwood will perform on the finale of American Idol.
Season one champ Kelly Clarkson, who appeared earlier in this season, won't make it to the finale because
she's in the late stages of pregnancy with her second child.
The two-night finale will air April 6th and 7th on FOX.
Eric Paslay will jump onto Toby Keith's Interstates and Tailgates tour this summer.
He'll climb aboard on July 8th in Virginia Beach. Eric says, “Really excited for the opportunity to be on the road
with Toby this year. He sure knows how to put on a show. I can’t wait to take it all in and learn from one of the best.”
Eric is slated to release his sophomore album this year.

Keith Urban has announced a release date for his new record, Ripcord. His eighth studio album will come
out on May 6th.
He says, “Ripcord is almost done -- and it’s been an exhilarating journey. Getting to work with so many new musicians
and writers and co-producers has been a divine experience for me -- and I can’t wait for
everyone to hear it!”
Keith kicks off his Ripcord world tour with special guests Brett Eldredge andMaren Morris on June 2nd. They will stop at
Blossom on July 15th!
Tim McGraw's song "Humble and Kind" is being turned into a gift book.
Tim was inspired to record the song, which was written by Lori McKenna, when his oldest daughter, Gracie, was going
off to college.
The book will be released on May 17th.

Nashville cops were in hot pursuit of a 1977 Trans Am driven by Randy Houser yesterday afternoon.
The police chase turned out to be a video shoot, much to the relief of many on social media who thought that
the cops were after a criminal.
Randy's new album, Fired Up, is out as of today.
Jennifer Nettles’ second solo album has a release date. Playing With Fire will be out on May 13th.
She says, "I am so proud of this record. It is a ton of sass and emotion and fun."
Jennifer has a lot going on in the coming weeks. She's on CMT's 2016 Next Women of Country tour, she'll
perform at the star-studded Kris Kristofferson tribute on March 16th in Nashville, and she just taped an episode of CMT
Crossroads with Cheap Trick that will air on March 24th.

Randy Houser and his fiancee Tatiana are in the middle of planning their wedding. But the groom isn't letting on where
or when the big event will take place. Tatiana is from Australia, so it's possible that they'll get married down under. Randy
and Tatiana announced their engagement last May.
Reba McEntire finalized her divorce from husband Narvel Blackstock in October, and in a new interview, reveals the split
wasn’t her idea — at all.
She says, “I didn’t want it in any shape, form or fashion.It was really hard to make the adjustment when someone’s not
happy. I just want everybody to be happy in their lives because our lives are too short to be miserable,.”
The two remain friends and still have a close professional relationship.

Little Big Town’s Karen Fairchild and Kimberly Schlapman appeared as guest judges on Project Runway All Stars
last night. The contestants created looks for the ladies to wear to this year’s ACM Awards.
Kenny Chesney, Carrie Underwood, Keith Urban, Florida Georgia Line and Cam are the first performers announced for
the upcoming Academy of Country Music Awards.
After Kenny's performance on the show, he'll head down to the Las Vegas Festival Grounds to close out the fourth
ACM Party for a Cause.
The ACM Awards, hosted by Luke Bryan and Dierks Bentley, will air live from the MGM Grand in Las Vegas, April 3rd on CBS.

celebrating Disneyland's 60th birthday.
Little Big Town will sing "Steve McQueen," which is played in the park's Cars attraction, while Kelsea will sing "Part of
Your World" fromThe Little Mermaid.
The show airs Sunday on ABC.
