Saturday Night is the 1st Premium Live Event in the WWE since WrestleMania.
This one has some big matches and definitely some big egos.
It is St. Louis, MO and is on Peacock at 7 o clock.
Card and Predictions:
Undisputed WWE Championship — John Cena (c) vs. Randy Orton:
John Cena has been playing the WWE Universe and the Superstars like crazy. Cena fresh off record-breaking 17th title reign and dancing around his retirement tour. Randy resides in Missouri now. Some take it as he should win. Cena has had little to no pop in his matches (slow and steady- some interference- wins matches). I tend to remember the Viper rolling in the ring slapping the ref and lose the match… Sure it might be 25 years later, this may just be the shortest match of the night but I could see Cena slapping the ref and walking out. Match would be bland and it would tick off a lot of fans including Randy. I think Cena wins but either a champions edge or some outside help.
Women’s Intercontinental Championship — Lyra Valkyria (c) vs. Becky Lynch:
Lyra seems to be pushing back against ‘The Man’ Becky Lynch. This maybe a big push for Lyra. Is it me or has Becky been kind of manic lately. Turning on Lyra and going all in on Bayley remember before when Becky went off the deep end, she lost a ton of matches during that point. Bayley may have something to do with the 1-2-3. Lyra wins this one but not by much.
United States Championship — Jacob Fatu (c) vs. LA Knight vs. Damian Priest vs. Drew McIntyre:
Priest and McIntyre have been at odds for a long time. YEAH! LA Knight is figuring it out. Fatu has been getting catapulted up the card. I think his climb continues with this one, especially since a 4-Way is just a way to make big names fall in the ring without falling in the WWE Universe’s Eyes. This 4-Way is going to go to Jacob Fatu.
Pat McAfee vs. Gunther:
Pat McAfee in protecting Michael Cole has really kicked the hornet’s nest. Pat McAfee will put on a great show. He really needs to just keep the show going with commentary. Gunther will take the victory Saturday and in-doin so will not effect his contender status.
Intercontinental Championship — Dominik Mysterio (c) vs. Penta:
Mania had a bunch of title changes. None bigger than Dominik Mysterio. Penta has been getting the push but putting the belt on Dominik and then dropping it would kill (or at least cancel out) the major problems the Judgement Day are having. Dominik will keep the IC Title…
Again these are just my opinions. If you gamble, do not let these have any consideration on your picks. Wrasslin’ Wednesday comes out the Wednesday before WWE PPE’s this one was a little late, I apologize. Have a great time watching Backlash. Remember it is Mother’s Day Sunday so invite mom in to watch with you or get a Backlash-ing of your own.
