This time of year, there are really two types of gifts to give: practical, and thoughtful/fun. Things someone can use very easily in their day-to-day lives, or something that you as a gift giver really try to make personal or fun that only the gift recipient would enjoy.

I personally like getting practical gifts. Things I know I need and will have a use for at one time in the near future. It stresses me out a bit to get something more unique that I am not 100% sure if it will be used by me. I feel as though the person giving it to me has wasted their time and $$$.

What do you prefer to receive? practical gifts or not? Some find practical gifts cheesy or impersonal. I call them GREAT because they’re very useful! haha
