Okay. Before I go any farther, yes this is being built on an old landfill. BUT – this 37 acre site in Lorain could still have some potential for some fun. There is a group that will open a $12.5 million racing complex for go karts in Lorain that would have both indoor and outdoor racing, simulators, a restaurant, and youth events as well.
The article says the people putting this together have worked closely with the Ohio EPA as well as the Army Corps. of Engineers to ensure things are on the up and up. The Lorain KartPlex is set to open in June with its first event scheduled for July.
