Kenny Chesney has been around 30 years now and still makes great music. In the mid 90’s when he first showed up, he was having good success. But that decade was so crammed with superstars, it seemed in order to really break through, the music was not going to be enough was we started a new century. So, Kenny Chesney reinvented himself with this great album of the same name. And henceforth, Chesney was now the Jimmy Buffett in essence of country music. His beach guy, rum drinkin’, livin’ on the boat in the Caribbean image was built and here to stay. And it has worked incredibly well. He for the most part left behind the 90’s image and this was the new guy. Much like Toby Keith had done with his transformation from 90’s nice guy, to the new century’s tough guy. This Chesney album is loaded with great songs, but this was the anthem of the project, and it’s still a big time favorite as it takes us away to a serene beach setting and just makes you feel good. Chesney has never looked back and his success really took off as he found the separator, and this was the song that did it Big #2 hit, sold millions and made a star – a real superstar. I’m proud to say, I’ve played every Chesney song on the radio, as they have been released.
