Dierks’ daughter Evie is now 16 – and ready to date.

Dierks says he always thought he would be one of those overprotective dads waiting on the front porch for her to get home with the shotgun in hand…just in case ;).

However, he has realized he is the exact opposite! He is just so happy that she wants to get out with others he own age and live life in the outside world, rather than staying in her room glued to her smartphone!

I think we can all take something from that.
