This November, Dolly Parton will receive the Jean Hersholt Humanitarian Award at the Motion Picture Academy’s Governor’s Ball. This award is to recognize her philanthropic work through her Dollywood Foundation and Imagination Library over the years. Therefore, Dolly Parton will now be an Oscar winner!

With this award, she will be SO CLOSE to being an EGOT! She has won 11 Grammy’s over the years, and won an Emmy for Dolly Parton’s Christmas on the Square Netflix Special.

All she needs is a Tony Award to achieve EGOT status – Which by the way, there is a Broadway musical about her in production, so that COULD happen!
