You may have noticed I was on vacation last week. My mom and I went to visit her sister and a couple cousins of mine in Albuquerque, NM.

Albuquerque is a favorite city of mine in the country! The weather. The views. THE FOOD! This was our 5th visit since my Aunt moved there 25 years ago. Every time I don’t want to come home because I have so much fun and love the area that much!

We went to the Aquarium, spent TWO days at the zoo! (One of my favorite zoos in America). We went to an Albuquerque Isotopes baseball game with my cousin and his family. Yes, they got the name from The Simpsons – they have statues of Bart, Lisa, Marge, and Homer that you can get your picture with! haha

We also took an open air trolley tour of historic and popular sites around town. We went to the Indian Pueblo Cultural Center – a museum dedicated to pueblo tribes that live in New Mexico and all about their culture. Shortly before we left to come home, my Mom and Aunt took a hot air balloon ride (Albuquerque is home the the Int’l Balloon Fiesta in October).

I snapped this picture of the state bird – the Road Runner outside of our hotel one afternoon. One more thing – the state question is : Red, Green, or Christmas Style (referring to red or green chile on your food). My answer is ALWAYS…Green!
