When I Think About Cheatin’ – Gretchen Wilson – 2004 – (Album – Here For The Party)
We all know the meteoric rise of Gretchen Wilson and her smash hit, Redneck Woman. There is no doubt that’s a landmark song, but sadly her run was short. But this song I feel is very underrated. True, for a short while she was known for the party songs, and I enjoyed those too, but I love this song. She shows a real versatility that was direct contrast t0 the songs that performed well for her, as this is big time traditional. This went to #4 on the charts and was part of an album that sold a ridiculous amount of copies, well into the many millions. Great to hear this one again.
