Why You Wanna – Jana Kramer -2012 – (Album – Jana Kramer)
This was a #3 hit, it sold a million, and that’s amazing since it was her first venture into our charts. I can remember this like it was yesterday, she came to WQMX in her tour bus and she invited us all on to hear this debut single. And even though this song is not targeted at me, I like this song. This is a slick mix of traditional and a more, at the time, contemporary sound. She was incredibly pleasant and very welcoming. Then a couple years later she came back and remembered our names, (for the most part that’s rare from artists) and she was just as easy to talk with. Her charting time was short, but she had some success with two Platinum Singles. The video was a big hit too, as she and the camera get along very well (better than most) as a result of her acting days. It’s good to hear this song again. It’s also hard to think this was 13 years ago.
