Full disclosure I think this is one of the best country songs of the last 30 years. It was on my 2023 list of my 50 Favorites From 40 Years Countdown (#3). It’s not for everyone. It takes real courage to look back honestly on your past and realize you made some big mistakes and weren’t always right. But this song dares to do exactly that. It’s powerful, gutty, and more than revealing. I love every single note of this honest testimony. #6 on the charts but to me, a real #1. This is tough country at it’s very best.
