Meet River …
This precious two-year-old pup was found in a dog park in Akron. It’s unsure as to whether he made his way there, or if he was left? River came into Summit County animal control concerned but is doing better. It’s not uncommon for dogs that are used to a house, and a couch, to become fearful in a loud, sterile and intimidating shelter environment.
River is a true Heinz-57, meaning this young boy is a mix of a lot of breeds. In fact, you can’t even pick out one single breed! However, we think he’s beautiful and mutts are the best. They are often the healthiest because mixing up the breeds will often break the inherent weaknesses in purebred dogs.
Weighing in at 40 pounds, River is considered to be medium in size and will not grow any larger. He’s past those pesky stages and, at the guesstimated age of 2, he is now considered an adult dog. So, what you see is what you get!
Gotta love those ears and those little black eyes. Fully vetted, this boy is ready to go home. Might he be going with you?
