Country Music Memory Lane - Randy Travis Revisited
Wynn At The Movies And More
Russell Dickerson made his acting debut last night on the Fox series Call Me Cat. He didn't play a character, he played himself in the episode called "Call Me A Donut Wall", that found Russell showing up in a storyline surrounding series regular Max. He offered Max, who's played by Cheyenne Jackson, a life-changing career opportunity. But that's all I'll say so I don't spoil anything if you haven't watched yet!
LOOK MOM! Iām on TV!!! Tune in to watch me pick a wedgie! This whole day was CRAZYYYY! Making my acting debut! Shout out to the incredible cast and crew for helping me my first time on camera! pic.twitter.com/ETXrb8ygO5

Since I hurt my ankle Sunday and missed work Monday & Tuesday, I had some time to watch a few things on TV while I iced my foot. Several years ago I began watching different TV series start to finish in the order the episodes aired. I started with Doogie Howser and have since watched shows like Friends, Frasier, Schitt's Creek and Dawson's Creek among others.
Quite a long time ago, I started The Bob Newhart Show and never finished the final season. That changed this weekend. I finally finished season 6 and was able to add that to the list of TV series I have watched start to end. My next one is Dharma & Greg. It's the same story - I got within a few episodes of the end and then stopped. So, I started it again at the pilot episode and am going through the whole series again on HULU. I enjoy being able to say I have seen so many series in full.
I do these once in a while, when an artists birthday rolls around. Checking out the archives, I have never done a Top 5 list of my favorite Eric Church songs! That's about to change right now! This is going to be a really hard one because there are so many great songs, but these are 5 I could listen to on repeat!
Happy birthday to The Chief, Eric Church!
5. Cold One
4. Love Your Love The Most
3. Doing Life With Me

1. Drink In My Hand
Mega Star Randy Travis had a birthday a few days ago, and I thought it would be a great idea to look back at his remarkable career. Randy Travis is a pivotal artist in our history as I feel he basically changed the direction of country so much he may have saved the format. His influence shifted everything.
You know who else feels that way? Garth Brooks - He also stated what I have said and written about for many years. After you read my Randy Travis Profile, read my TWO part series on Who Saved Country Music - written about 4 years ago.
Happy Birthday Randy Travis!
Hopefully the weather starts cooperating for golf season in Northeast Ohio...
The 1st week in June, Toby Keith will host his annual 'Toby Keith & Friends Golf Classic' in Norman, Oklahoma June 2nd and 3rd. The outting benefits OK Kids Korral, the cost-free home for children battling cancer.
With knowing Darius Rucker, Scotty McCreery, Vince Gill, Brett Young, Kane Brown, Eric Church, Morgan Wallen and many more chase the ball in their free time... Which Country Artists would you like to golf with?
I think my team would be: Chase Rice, Eric Church and Hardy... I'll start making some calls for my team now for the WQMX Golf Outting this Summer.
I Need More Of You - The Bellamy Brothers - 1985 (Album - Restless)
The Bellamy Brothers were an interesting act during their long chart run. Their music was country, and pop country, but the gift of their music was - it's timeless. Their hit songs would sound good in pretty much any era of country. This was their 8th number one song and they would record more. They will always be known for Let Your Love Flow, which is literally one of the biggest hit songs of the 20th century, but there was a lot more to them then that. (Everyone on earth knows that song). This is just a flat out nice song about how much he loves his woman, without being mushy, or sappy and there's nothing wrong with that. This just makes you happy. Musically its slick guitar lick, wonderful arrangement and terrific backing vocals make this a real nice song. The music they recorded should be remembered more, incredibly talented duo. I don't know if they ever released a song I didn't like, and I played them all for many years. They will be back here again in the Forgotten Jukebox. If you're not familiar with them get to know them, it's worth it. I wouldn't steer you wrong. (Read the comments as you listen - they are loved)
My Full Profile On The Bellamy Brothers
I am such a klutz! Sunday afternoon, I went to the grocery store for the week and everything went very well. I got what I needed (except I forgot batteries) and then was going out to dinner with my mom. I got home and took my bag of stuff inside. I only had one bag. GREAT!!! Then, it was time to go back out to the car to get the milk. So I have the milk in one hand, and begin going inside. Now, off my driveway, there are three steps up to get into my kitchen. As I was going up these steps, I forgot to lift my right foot far enough and went down HARD on the steps :(. OOOWWWWW!!!
My ankle was in such awful pain! Luckily I could get up, got things in the refrigerator that needed to be in there and then went to the couch. Started to elevate and ice it right away. My mom ended up getting Chinese food to bring to my house for dinner.
That should explain why I missed work on Monday and Tuesday. My ankle is still kinda swollen, I'm still elevating and icing as much as possible. At least I can now walk well enough to come back to work. Be careful of steps!!! THEY BITE! lol
