It's Feel Good Friday from Progressive Auto Group on 94.9 WQMX...  I get a lot of great calls and texts at 330-370-2000 from 3-7pm on Fridays!  

Just little life moments (birthdays, anniversaries, weddings), humble brags, community events and just other things going on in your life that will put a little smile on our faces leading into the weekend!   

Today, Margaret said her family reunion is Sunday and she is really looking forward to the 50+ party...   How fun!  

Stacia checked in from Canton also... Her son, Wyatt just made the 2nd Round of the National Mullet Contest...  She even sent the flyer!  Go Wyatt!!!! 

Love that the youngster is helping Wounded Warriors too!  Win or lose it will be a Party!!!! (at least in the back!!!!) 

Amy said her family will be checking out Summit County Fair this weekend!!!

 There are soo many to list and they are all hits!!!!  

Monday the Throwback was 'Livin on Love' by Alan Jackson.  The song really and truly is a masterpiece!  If you are not familiar here:

 It sure doesn't take much more than what Alan is singing about right there...

Dear Grace... she called in after the song played.

Grace said "was that Livin on Love?"  I said, "yes ma'am".  She went and told me a story.  That song was her husband's favorite along with Remember When.  Sadly Grace's husband fell ill and was in hospice care.  A musician came in to play those 2 songs for her husband and Grace...  I could tell from her voice cracking that she was getting emotional...  I said thank you for sharing! Grace that was an amazing story.  She said 'Thank you' for playing that song (voice cracking) and hung up...  Music is powerful!  It can take you right back to a place and time when you heard it or draw on an incredible memory of the person you were with at the time.  

Alan Jackson can draw on that emotion and truly could sing the phone book or IKEA Furniture Instructions and it would sound amazing. 

These 2 songs could live in my head forever!  Along with about 30+ Alan Jackson Song's...

Goodyear Tire & Rubber Company sent 175 jobs to Costa Rica on Friday and now plans to sell off-the-road tire business to Yokohama in a nearly $905 million cash deal. 

And the Taste of Akron inconjunction with the 45th annual Arts Expo will roll into Hardesty Park Thursday Night from 5 to 9 p.m. (and thru Sunday) with 19 food trucks and 15 food vendors.

In the turn back time machine.... Apparently, today is the anniversary of when Crayola introduced scented Crayons back in 1994...

I remember scratch-and-sniff stickers from the 80's and 90's. Think how refined they could have made those stickers today after 30 or 40 years?

My son really liked the Bamboozle Jelly Beans the gross tasting kinds of Jelly Belly's (grass clippings, stinky socks and more...)  

Those reminded me of the taste versions of the Mr. Yuk Stickers.  That green face kept kids safe in the 70's and 80's....

I still love stickers to this day from my favorite bands or whatever.  Wonder what your favorite bands scratch-and-sniff would smell like?  Or not... maybe that is why they stopped making them... Yuck!

Ohio's Tax Free Weekend before School starts has been extended from the past tradition of 3 days...  Tax Free Weekend is now July 30th - August 8th.  Families and students are able to buy school supplies, clothing, items that may benefit the student throughout the school year, as well as other items that fall under certain categories according to the state of Ohio.  www.ohio.gov has more information.

Saturday Night was interesting.  I love mascots.  Went to the Columbus Crew Game... As I rolled onto the concourse at Lower.com Field noticed a ton of Mascots.

Brutus of THE Ohio State Buckeyes had the longest line....  Chomps from the Browns was next longest.  But the Lake County Captains, The Columbus Clippers and a whole slew of others were there...  I was thirsty so I didn't want to wait in line for all the characters and as probably the biggest kid in the stadium I got my pic with Sir C.C...  It was hot I felt bad for the folks in the Mascot Suits...  but then they put them on the field to play a scrimmage soccer match with kids...  I just couldn't imagine being hot and sweaty and the barely being able to see out of a costume and running around (or more like over) kids... Oh well seems like everyone made it out alright.   Crew won big 4-0...
