Today, I celebrate the 5th Gotcha Day for my cat Butercup. It was on July 18, 2019 that my ex Vinnie and I adopted Buttercup and welcomed him into our home.

The night before I had finished working a shift here at work and when I got home, I pulled into the driveway and noticed Buttercup sitting by the front door. My headlights scared him, but I went inside and told my ex to grab some food and water and let's go back outside. We did, and found him hiding under the car. He was very easily coaxed out by the food and we sat petting him for about an hour. Then it was time to call it a night.

The next afternoon, we saw him in the backyard, and my ex said "I'm going to grab him and bring him inside". So he did, and we took him to the vet the next day. He checked out perfectly healthy and no chip, so we decided to adopt him as a friend to our other cat at the time. 

Five years, two health scares, and three of his nine lives later, Buttercup is still stealing our hearts all the time. Even though my ex Vinnie doesn't see him everyday anymore, We are in contact all the time about funny things Buttercup does or talking about his health conditions.

I TOTALLY didn't mean for this to turn out this long, but I love Buttercup so much and it's his pet version of a birthday!

We all know the feeling. That time in the afternoon when it feels like 5:00 is SOOOO far away.

Kane Brown recently challenged Jason Aldean to a competitive game of Golf.

The two have had a back and forth playful jab-session about each other's Golf game going for some time and now it appears Kane is ready to get serious! He said he challenges Jason Aldean to a game any day for any amount of money!

Wouldn't it be cool if they decided to settle this at the WQMX Golf outing and donated the money to Bosom Buddies?!

Josh Turner is about to drop a new album - his first in about three years!

He will release his 10th studio ablum called "This Country Music Thing" on August 16th. It's been a minute for Turner, considering his last top 10 hit was "Hometown Girl" in 2016. Definitely check that out next month! It'll be cool to hear from Josh Turner again. :)

I hope you had an amazing long holiday weekend! I hope you got to spend time with family, see some fireworks, and kept all 10 fingers ;)

On Thursday, I had lunch with my mom and then went to see a movie that evening. On Friday, I went out for some lunch and then played a round of 18 - of mini golf at Rolling Greens (fun courses there). Saturday was a quiet day, and on Sunday I went and renewed my gym membership followed by some grocery shopping, and then another 18 holes of mini golf...this time at Downview in Cuyahoga Falls. After that, went and got ice cream at Pav's! YUMMY!

No fireworks for me this year, but it was still a great weekend! Now, back to work :)

We have the rest of the week off due to the 4th of July holiday here at WQMX. The weekend staff will keep you entertained and keep the prizes coming your way!
