Following a few months of maternity leave, Gabby Barrett made her return to performing on the Opry stage, but it was backstage where Gabby was presented with plaques marking her breakout single, "I Hope" reaching eight-times Platinum certification and "The Good Ones" being certified four-times Platinum.
Congratulations and welcome back, Gabby.
My family and I went on a getaway to the Indiana Dunes, which if you can visit, you should. There is a ton to do in both the national and state parks and the beaches are so pretty! We conquered the 3 Dune Challenge, spent some time in Lake Michigan, and on the way home, made a stop in Gary, Indiana. We were staying so close, it was only 12 minutes away, and how many opportunities would we get to visit the childhood home of The Jackson 5 (and all the Jacksons)? It was such a cool experience!
We know that Katy Perry mentioned the name Jelly Roll for a potential replacement judge as she departed American Idol this season, but it looks like the reality show may be going a different direction.
Luke Bryan spoke with Billboard and he batted around a few different names that are being discussed -- Pink, Meghan Trainor and Miley Cyrus.
Pink previously told Entertainment Tonight she wasn't interested because she doesn't like hurting people's feelings. Miley has appeared on Idol previously and served as a coach on The Voice, so she's familiar with the role, but apparently Meghan went on Watch What Happens Live and has been campaigning for the job.
Season 23 of the hit reality show will begin airing in early 2025.
In this week’s Sunday Sitdown, country music artist Lainey Wilson joins Willie Geist for a discussion about her upcoming album, “Whirlwind,” her breakout role on the hit Western show “Yellowstone” and her induction into the Grand Ole Opry.
Lainey Wilson stopped by the TODAY Show to perform some of her songs and there was a surprise!
