In the transition months/time like April, May, September, and October do you go directly from the furnace to A/C or do you take some time in between to open the windows of your house and wait until it gets uncomfortable to close up the house again?

I am one who opens the windows and waits. First, I save some money that way when money really counts. Second, my cat Buttercup loves to sit in open windows or look out my sliding doors into the back yard and see what is going on outside. I myself enjoy the fresh air and the nice breezes blowing in the house too – especially if I want to take a nap.

I know there are plenty of people who go straight from heat to A/C. My grandparents were like that. I am not able to do that though – I like to get some fresh air in the house when I can.
