In some cases dogs are like kids.  We all say they are part of the family.  You love and nuture both children and pets.

You have to feed them, bath them, clean up after them, maybe dress them and they bark out info at the most inopportune times...

This video made me laugh because it is on par with what my child would do in this situation.
