It's been a few years since I've had much interest in Saturday Night Live. The show is past its prime, if you ask me. I'm surely not alone in that sentiment, either. 

Still, every now and then, I'll check it out for some laughs. It's hit or miss; some skits have me cracking up, while others I fail to see the humor in. 

What keeps that SNL ship afloat are the guest performances and hosts. The appearances from big stars like Jelly Roll are what people tune in for, I think. 

To be clear, I like the show. I just wish they could recapture that lightning in a bottle they had in the Lonely Island era and prior. The best consistent thing since then has been the Weekend Update segment, but I'm unsure of how that is anymore.
