I had the pleasure of being a judge for the Ms. Wheelchair USA competition on Saturday night. Eight women came together and to say their stories are inspiring is kind of an understatement. They are remarkable women, who against odds I can not fathom, want to help educate others.

Each July, these women come to Cuyahoga Falls the home of the Dane Foundation. The Dane Foundation is the main sponsor of Ms. Wheelchair USA. Their mission is to provide for the unique needs for those with physical and developmental disabilities. Ms. Wheelchair USA becomes an ambassador for implementing this.

During the pageant, the ladies must present a marketing plan on how they will help those with disabilities and The Dane Foundation. These women are sharp and amazing. They truly all deserved the title, but only one could win and this year, Ms. Wheelchair North Carolina Brittany Hawley won.
