Perfect Weekend For A Pot Roast!

Written by
This weekend the temps are going to be a little cooler and fall will be in full swing. This week, I made a pot roast that I must admit- may have been my best ever! A slight chill in the air, a hoodie on, football on the TV, meat in the crock pot, that is my idea of a fantastic fall day! Here's my pot roast prep. I don't call it a recipe. It is…

Pryor & Lee- Live & In Person!

Written by
Earlier this week something happened at the station that hasn't happened at all this year. Live music. Pryor & Lee came for a station visit. They played a few songs in the parking lot- six feet away. A few of us morning show people and some of their crew were allowed to watch, in masks. I legit felt like I was at a concert and I got really excited and a bit emotional. I have…

Local Must Visit: Twin Oast Brewing

Written by
On Sunday, I found myself back at Twin Oast Brewing in Port Clinton to watch the Browns game. We did this for a couple of reasons. The main one is this place is wonderful- great food and beer. The other one is that they have this big screen set up on a huge lawn for you to watch the games on! You can bring your chairs, blankets if need be and just relax. It is…

Happy Halloween Costume Ideas!

Written by
Halloween is on a Saturday this year, and like so many things in 2020- it could be a bit different. But, that is not going to stop me from dressing up and having some fun- at least with the Warren! Ha! My thoughts on costumes so far- maybe a duo look from my favorite shows right now- Schitt's Creek or Cobra Kai. A game show look- Price is Right or Supermarket Sweep. Here are some…
Last week, I went shopping at Hartville Hardware to find my look in their Carhartt section. They have the largest women's Carhartt section. Period. They also have the new fall fashions in, and they have everything. All the hoodies, vests, pants, flannels, hats, everything. Last night, I did a fashion show of my purchases on the WQMX Facebook page. I got a pinkish hoodie, these great leggings, socks, and of course a pink hat. Carhartt…

It's Fall Y'all! Decorate!

Written by
I decorated for fall and Halloween a few days ago. Usually I do it the last week of September because I just can't wait, but with the WQMX 5Kay I was busy! So, I got out all the decorations and everything is fall like and Halloweenie! One of my most favorite decorations is my piggy pumpkin! This year I decided to put it in a white pumpkin and I think it really pops. I love…

We Made the WQMX 5Kay Work!

Written by
The 2nd Annual WQMX 5Kay was beyond a success on Saturday! I do not have official numbers yet, but I can say we had more people than last year and we raised a bunch of money for WQMX's Bosom Buddies that benefits Muffins For Mammograms. I always stress because that is who I am. I don't plan a lot of events here at the station. I certainly help, but this one has my name on…
