Try the New Chicken Tenders at Acme!

Written by
I tried the new Jumbo Marinated Chicken Tenders from Acme the other night and they were delicious. You can get Marinated Jumbo Chicken Wings or Tenders! Throw these on the grill with all the other meats! They are pre-marinated in your choice of flavors- you got buffalo, bourbon, hot or mango chipotle. I got them in herb garlic. Flavorful and ready to go for the grill. Just head on over to the meat department and…

Geneva on the Lake- a MUST Visit!

Written by
I have been to Geneva-on-the-Lake (GOTL) before to visit the wineries, but not to see the downtown. How did I miss this? Fun shops, fun bars, restaurants and you feel like you are in a southern beach town. I realize you are in a beach town because you are on Lake Erie, but this is borderline Myrtle Beach feel or even a small Key West vibe. I had no idea. Bright colors on the houses…

Local Brewery: Saucy Brew Works

Written by
Over the weekend, the birthday celebrations for my brother-in-law Larry continued at Saucy Brew Works in Cleveland. I have shared with you before that I enjoy this establishment. The food, beer- all good. They have a lovely patio area and big garage doors to keep the air circulating. However, they put together this beer garden right around the corner from the bar and it is perfect. They have picnic tables spread out with TVs sporadically…

Local Restaurant: Pickle Bill's Lobster House

Written by
Spur of the moment, I decided to meet my sister for lunch on Friday at Pickle Bill’s Lobster House in Grand River. I have heard such great things about this place from her, my friends and on different local TV shows. She had the day off and we decided to make a day of it for her husband’s birthday weekend celebrations. This place is huge first and foremost. The seating outside is spacious and the…

It's Great to Meet YOU!

Today we will announce August’s First Responder Friday Winner. Earlier this week we went and delivered lunch from Mr. Hero to last month’s winner- the New Franklin Fire Department. This is a perk of my job. I love meeting you all, but to meet first responders and to get to say thank you is extra. These guys were great. So thank you and I look forward to meeting and thanking more of you. You can…

I am pro pumpkin! I say bring on all things pumpkin. I love fall, I love pumpkin spice in all things- my coffee, my ice cream, my pie. I love it. Of course you have your pumpkin spice lattes. They are rumored to be coming back at the end of the month. I say yes! Swiss Miss announced they are coming out with a pumpkin spice hot chocolate for the fall. Ummm, how have they…

Local MUST Visit: Gervasi Vineyards

Written by
My weekend plans changed due to the rain, so my sister and I decided to make the best of it and find a covered patio. We went to the Crush House at Gervasi Vineyard. I have mentioned before how beautiful this place is and the wine and food are just an added bonus. We sat on their outside patio, which is located on their second floor- so you feel like you are really in Italy…

Chillin', Grillin' and Deliverin'!!!

Written by
A few of us took to the roads and hand, no-contact delivered prizes to our Chillin’ and Grillin’ winners over the weekend. It was a nice day and it even nicer to see all of you! We took socially distant selfies and for an afternoon, it kind of felt a bit normal. I miss seeing you all at events and concerts, seeing familiar faces, meeting new ones. This was a nice way to be safe…
