RIP, Pick Up Man

Written by
Yesterday marked a sad day in country music and in general. Joe Diffie died due to complications from coronavirus. He was 61. Joe was survived by his 5 children and wife Tara. So sad. He is a legend, a great voice and from everything I ever noticed, a great guy. He personified 90s country. The voice, the music, the lyrics, the hair, everything. Billy Bob loves Charlene. I love that line! When the announcement came…

New White Claws! 70 Cals, 0 Carbs, 0 Sugars!

Written by
White Claw is at it again! They are set to introduce a new beverage. It is another hard seltzer, of course, but this time it is White Claw 70- just 70 calories with 0 carbs, 0 sugars and it is gluten free. It comes in two flavors: clementine and pineapple. Sign me up is what I say. My inside scoop tells me these drinks could be coming to stores as soon as today in some…

Local Take Out: Kraus Pizza in North Canton

Written by
Take out has become a big part of lives these past couple of weeks and the Warren and I have been partaking. I will also say, I have been veering off my low carb life plan a wee bit! Ha! The other night we got pizza from one of our most favorite places: Kraus in North Canton on Middlebranch. It was heavenly. On the pizza was sausage and banana peppers. Their sausage is ground up…
A lot of cleaning and purging is getting done during this time of social distancing. The Warren and I started cleaning, purging and organizing the basement. This room is our Mount Everest. This is where all the Christmas decorations are, his tools, and my head gear! I have bags and bags full of head gear, hats and costumes. We started there and I got overwhelmed. I truly believe that every occasion can be and should…
We are spending a lot more time on social media these days, or at least I am. I see more posts saying, show me your 10th picture in your camera roll for a laugh, or answer these questions using words that begin with the first letter of your last name, or let's get to know each other better by answering these random questions. One of those questions I saw recently was- what is the most…

Live, Local and Happy to Be Here!

Written by
After yesterday's announcement from Governor DeWine and Dr. Amy Acton about the two week statewide stay at home order that begins tonight at 11:59pm, I will say yep, the unease officially set in with me. The entire situation is hard for me to wrap my head around. It feels like something that only happens on TV or in the movies. I took major comfort in Dr. Amy's words- don't be fearful, be determined. We will…

Spring is Here!

Written by
Spring has sprung and not just on my head! Yes, we are practicing social distancing. That does not mean we cannot get out and enjoy the outside. Take a walk, a run, ride a bike, plant some flowers, sit on the porch if it rains, have a conversation outside. We will get through this. Clean with the windows and doors open. Our plan for the weekend is to spring clean. We started on the office…

THANK YOU TO ACME ASSOCIATES!

Written by
A HUGE THANK YOU has to go out the Acme associates that have stepped up over the past week or so and will continue to do so. They are showing up, stocking shelves, keeping the stores clean and safe. They are doing their jobs and doing it well. This is a historical time that we may never see again. We are all in this together and going to get food at Acme has always been…

Cottage Cheese and Sloppy Joes? Yes!

Written by
Today is Sloppy Joe Day, or as my mom calls the- Untidy Josephs! This is one of my go to meals. Always a win at home. We were talking about weird food combinations the other day on air. Fries and milkshakes, Ranch and everything, Cottage cheese and fruit/veggies, stuff like that and someone text in to try cottage cheese with Sloppy Joes. Challenge accepted! I went home that night, got out the Manwich and tried…

Shamrock Sarah!

Written by
Happy St. Patrick's Day! This year is going to be different for some. We can still cook some corn beef and cabbage, get a reuben from our favorite restaurant via take-out, make our own green beer and such. There are ways to celebrate safely at home, which may be more fun in the end. I read a fact today that there are more Irish people living in the United States than in Ireland! That is…
