Happy Ugly Christmas Sweater Day!

Written by
Today is Ugly Christmas Sweater Day and I am big fan! I do the 12 Kays of Christmas easy year where I wear 12 fun sweaters each day. They are more cute and funny than ugly, but I digress. This got me to thinking- how did the Ugly Christmas sweater get started and the party idea get going? A simply Google search opened my eyes. These sweaters have been around since the 1950s. Their popularity…

Feeling Nostalgic

Written by
Remember these nostalgic trees from when you were little? I remember gazing at the one my parents had and even rearranging the lights. Ours was green, only a few inches tall and I have no clue what happened to it. In the last few years, these ceramic light-up trees have become popular again. Christmas at Clay's is a MUST See!

Written by
Christmas at Clay’s is going on now through the 29th at Clay’s Park in Canal Fulton. I went and hung out with the Christmas crew on Friday and had so much fun. Christmas at Clay’s  a celebration of the season through lights and music featuring an Christmas lights display that you can drive thru. There’s a moving tunnel, 3D stuff and tons of lights to see out here! As in over 500,000 lights! You can see the North Pole, which is where I was and where you can meet and greet with Santa, his reindeer and see princesses and the Marketplace and then check out Ohio’s only 5 story Christmas tree synchronized to music- I mean there is so much to do and see here for you and the kids. The have…

Puffy the Inflatable Christmas Pig lives! Each Christmas season, I dig out Puffy the Pig that I got at K-Mart about 10 years ago, say a brief prayer and hope he still works! He lives again this year!! I keep it no secret that I love pigs and pink, so when I saw this adorable lawn decoration, he was a must have. His name, Puffy came to me the first time he adorned our yard.…

Ringing the Bell for the Salvation Army.

Written by
Yesterday, a group of us here at Rubber City Group took turns ringing the bell for the Salvation Army at Acme #1, which is next door to the station. Scott and I do this together every year and it has become a holiday tradition for us. I am always humbled to do this and also to see how many people, in my short one hour shift give to the Salvation Army. Whether it’s a few…
