WYNN - BROWNS - Now What?

Written by
Been a while since we've talked Browns, but the draft is over, free agency too for the most part and it's time to start thinking about what's next.  Will this year be better? And the answer, as it stands today is  - yes. The Browns are thinking Superbowl with the Watson contract and other key players in their prime. Probably an over reach, because there is NO LOGICAL reason today to think they have made…
You have made it very clear to all of here at WQMX that 90's country is a big deal to you.  So about 2 years ago I wrote this three part series about the 90's.  It tells WHY the 1990's was such a big deal to us.  And one of the main reasons was the sheer amount to stars we had - even beyond the superstars.  The bench was very, very deep and it was…

I Just Wanna Be Mad  -  Terri Clark - 2003 - (Album - Pain To Kill) I love Terri Clark. I always thought she had the absolute right idea of a female hat act that had a strong voice and was country confident.  She picked songs that were perfect for her and her electric guitar playing image.  Over the course of her career she had a ton of great songs, but this one always stood…

WYNN - #35 Thinkin' Problem - David Ball - 1994

Written by
Thinkin' Problem - David Ball - 1994 I can clearly remember the first time I heard this song.  I was doing mornings at WPCV in Lakeland, Florida and the Music Director, Dave said to me and my co-host John, "You gotta hear this!"  It started, and 10 seconds in I was hooked.  I get it, this is not everyone's cup of tea. This is big-time traditional country by a regular guy who was…

My Sunday Morning Song Eat Of The Week 50 Favorites From 40+ Years #36 Forgotten Jukebox - C-24 Country Music Memory Lane - Cut From A Different Cloth Wynn At The Movies And More
This week I am looking back on a few women in our history that were cut from a very different cloth.  These amazing and highly original women all had varying levels of success on the charts, but they all had a nice following.  They were far edgier than many other women of their era with a unique style and that was their calling card.  I loved all these artists and you can't talk about "edgy"…

Old Country - Mark Chesnutt  - 1992  - (Album - Longnecks and Short Stories) Mark Chesnutt was a big time hit maker in the 1990's.  I was a big fan, and I thought he really had the right idea a that moment.  He was in the era of Garth, Alan, George, Shania, Reba and about a thousand other huge artists.  Chesnutt is a Texas honky-tonk legend and gifted country singer.  He had a lot of fun…

WYNN - #36 This Kiss - Faith Hill 1998

Written by
