Meet Christopher, our one-year-old, 25 pound, velvety black, little bulldog. I mean, we can’t call him pint-size because he’s a little bigger than a pint, but he might be a gallon size? He’s small! His head may be 15 pounds of his weight? Lol!!!
Christopher was, witnessed, being intentionally abandoned on the street as a throw-away. Extremely concerned for his future, he showed signs of significant fearfulness when he arrived in the shelter.
Pay It Forward For Pets pulled him from the shelter and he is now in our foster care learning how to “dog.” There are definite signs that he was treated with a heavy hand. We don’t know why, because this boy is quite the lover.
Christopher wants to be an only dog in the home, and based on what appears he’s been through, he not only deserves that, but will thrive being your “main-man.” That’s not to say that he would not do well with another dog, as he does in our facility, but there has only been one little girl he likes spending time with. He finds everybody else intimidating, and a bit threatening.
We say, there’s nothing wrong with wanting all the attention and love to himself. That will make Christopher feel safe – and you feel special, too.
