Today is December 27th. That means, as of last Saturday the days are getting longer until late June! Last Saturday was the 21st of the month, so it was the Winter Solstice – the shortest day of the year.

That is one of my least favorite…yet favorite days of the year at the same time. That means for the next 6 months, the sun will set a little later each evening! Eventually setting shortly after 9:00 – which I love!!!!

I especially look forward to the time once you can actually NOTICE it staying light out later in the evening. I cannot stand early sunsets, because it makes it feel like the whole day is over by 10 til 5:00!
