I have been a person who loves to visit the Zoo for my entire life. I also enjoy visiting zoos in other cities, not just Cleveland and Akron. It’s a nice place to spend a beautiful day outside of the house. I have had a zoo membership as long as I can remember!

Once I saw this past Saturday’s forecast, I KNEW I couldn’t just sit at home. So my Mom and I got in the car Friday afternoon (after I cut the grass, lol) and drove up to Detroit. We spent the night and went to the Detroit Zoo on Saturday. What a great day it was! The weather was PERFECT! Sun and 70s, we got there right when they opened at 10am so the animals were active and playing. It was all around a great day.

I hadn’t been to the Detroit Zoo in between 20 and 25 years – no joke. WOW. It is amazing! They have so much open greenspace for people, AND the animal enclosures are HUGE! If going to the zoo is a thing you enjoy like I do – put Detroit on your list! You will not regret it!
