Randy Houser has had an interesting career so far. He’s been around a good long while and had some decent success. He’s recorded a few songs that you have loved for a long time, and some of his music has been a mainstay on WQMX. But this song is different. This song again, is very high on listeners, “Love Meter,” that clearly lands it on this list. This is a song that many artists would have loved to have, and luckily for us, and Randy, it ended up exactly where it should have. Houser co-wrote this country gem with Brice Long and it became a love anthem almost immediately. This went top ten, went gold, and was nominated for the CMA Song Of The Year. All of that is wonderful. But that’s not the draw here. This song is universally loved by fans. Houser, who is a great vocalist, brings this to life, singing this wonderful song with the incredible passion it deserves. Its terrific traditional country, yet still contemporary arrangement wraps itself around his stellar performance, making this one of the best songs of its kind of this new century. This though is timeless and never gets old in the ears. It also boasts a very inventive movie style video. No matter what era this song would have been recorded in over the last 40 years, it would have been a hit, and loved by fans everywhere. It’s that good.
