Pure Country Soundtrack – George Strait – 1993

This may seem like an interesting choice to be on this list until you dive deeper. George Strait starred in this country music movie and it enjoyed moderate success at the movies.  But this album remarkably would become the biggest selling album of his amazing career, selling well over 6 million copies.  I Cross My Heart  #1 is one of the biggest songs of the 1990’s and one of his most loved songs.  Heartland also went #1, and When Did You Stop Loving Me, was a Top 5.  This was a nice collection of newer songs and some written and performed in various years by other country artists.  You may love George Strait, but not have this album in your playlist, but maybe you should.  This was when Strait was really in his big-time prime.
