Starting today, I begin my “Influencers Series” as we will look at some of the artists that had huge influence in Country.  Some are easy, and some may surprise you.  Let’s start with Week 1

Week 1 –  Reba McEntire

She influenced millions in so many ways it’s hard to categorize. Reba’s music for many years was chart topping, award winning and loved by millions.  She rose to the top and stayed there for a very long time.  She of course was loved for that but she was also loved for being her. Her TV show(s) are very popular and her hosting of award shows and concerts endeared her to many.  It seemed that there was nothing Reba could not do, and fans loved that about her.  A singer, actor, host, and all around funny, witty, and charming celebrity, Reba made it look easy and inspired others to attempt the same.  She was and is a star across the board. Reba McEntire emerged from a field of stars who were further ahead at that time, but she would go on to heights others could only dream of. She has done it all, and set the stage for others to follow, that there is more than a singing career.
