Turn On The Radio – Reba McEntire – 2011 (Album – All The Woman I Am)
This was a big song for Reba for many reasons. It had been a while since she had a big hit song, and this did go #1. It was her last. It was also her 60th song to reach the top ten and for a brief time, brought her back into the fold on our charts. There were detractors at the time, as some critics shredded this song for whatever reasons as critics do. But it was great to hear Reba back on the radio again, and at this moment, this song fit her. This is not Reba’s best song by any stretch, but there’s nothing wrong with this. Reba had long moved on from being a full time country singer by then, and that was savvy. Everyone’s run comes to an end, and she did it on her terms, with one last big song. Well done.
