By the time this hit the radio, Taylor Swift had already begun her slow swing to being a pop artist, but this song is so relatable it hit with country fans too. This #2 hit is a very slick, yet very simple song of a young woman attempting to start love over with someone new months after a long relationship had ended badly. The premise is so simple, and she explains it so easily, you are sitting right there at the cafe with her. There is no doubt that Taylor is polarizing with many country fans, but there are times her ability to capture a single moment can’t be denied – and this is one of them. In my view, this is the stuff she does best by far- One of her very best songs.
