If you love the show, Landman streaming on Paramount +, you may have favorite character.  But did you know that one of the supporting cast members is a country artist from 90’s country?  It’s true.

Top Five Song

Mark Collie plays Sheriff  Walt Joeberg on the wildly successful show, and is pretty darn good.  He’s also been in a lot of other movies and shows dating back 25 years or so.  But long before that he wrote a lot of songs that were recorded by Garth Brooks, Tim McGraw, Aaron Tippin, Alabama and even George Jones, in addition to his own recording career that started in the early 90’s.  He has also written music for some of the movies and shows he’s been in.

Another Top Ten

I was always a fan of Collie.  I thought he was really talented, original and recorded a lot of great songs.  He reached the Top Ten a few times, in an era that was loaded with mega stars.  Truth is, Collie was a big time underrated artist in the 90’s. Very talented.

Top 20 Song

Regardless of his chart positioning, he was a player in the 90’s before branching out into acting and his involvement in philanthropy that’s close to his own story.  There is every chance in a different decade, he may have been a much bigger recording star. But nonetheless, he was pretty darn good as you listen to his music here.

I Loved This Song

Mark Collie, now on a major TV show, with a great cast and story line.  Sheriff Joeberg on Landman.  Interesting fact too – In 2001 he delivered the eulogy for NASCAR’s Dale Earnhart.
