It’s cold this week so I was looking for a “cold” song. This is one of the best debut singles of all time I feel. In fact this I feel is one of the best country songs of the past 40 years – period. Mark Chesnutt in any other era would have been the #1 artist in the format. (Read his profile below). As it was, in the 90’s he still was a major player and rattled off a ton of huge hits, and they all started with this gem. This is about as good as country songs get in every measure. And this is performed with a level of believe-ability that is unmatched. This is how we all got to know the incredible Mark Chesnutt.
