Mmmm, Cookies!

Written by
I had a great weekend, and I sincerely hope that you did too. Amongst all of the fun and activities, my fiancée and I visited with my mother on both Saturday and Sunday. Together, they spent hours baking cookies and making memories, and the smell of holiday joy filled the house. I was in and out helping my buddy move into his new place, and each time I returned it seemed like they had three…

Bell Ringing!

Written by
Hear the sledges with the bells—                 Silver bells! What a world of merriment their melody foretells!        How they tinkle, tinkle, tinkle,           In the icy air of night!        While the stars that oversprinkle        All the heavens, seem to twinkle           With a crystalline delight;         Keeping time, time, time,         In a sort of Runic rhyme,To the tintinabulation that so musically wells       From the bells, bells, bells, bells,               Bells, bells, bells—  From the jingling and the tinkling of the bells.                -Excerpt from Edgar Allen…

No Smoke!

Written by
Today, Tuesday, is a big day for me! 10 a.m. marks a full week without a cigarette, and if all continues to go well, I'm done for life. I've been a tobacco user for nearly a decade nonstop, beginning with chew in high school and transitioning to cigarettes for college onward. My loved ones have been pushing me to give up the habit and fight the addiction for years now, and I'm finally ready to…

Car Commercials

Written by
In my recent blog about my new Blazer, I included a few television advertisements from the late 90's promoting the vehicle. Searching for these led me down a YouTube rabbit hole of old automotive commercials, and there's too many good ones for me not to share with you here! Some make me laugh and some make me cringe, and all of them are perfectly antiquated. Enjoy these time capsules as we flash back to cars…

My Top Ten: Christmas Movies

Written by
There's nothing like a night-in watching holiday movies with the fireplace burning and a cup of hot cocoa or cider in your hands. Pair that with some popcorn and maybe a couple Christmas cookies, then add a fluffy blanket and cozy pajamas, and I'm good to go!  There are surely a lot of Christmas movies out there, so I'm sure there's also many different favorites among us all. I'm simply here to get the discussion…

GTA 6 Trailer Released

Written by
With several blogs on the topic, it's no secret I love the Grand Theft Auto series, and this Tuesday was huge in the timeline of events towards a new game as the official trailer for GTA 6 was released! This comes a decade after the release of the current game, GTA 5, and the new game itself won't even hit shelves until 2025.  Rockstar has the potential to produce the greatest game ever made thus…

Ba-Ba-Ba-Blazer!

Written by
I'm stoked to announce: I bought a new car! Well... new to me that is.  She's a '98 Chevy Blazer 2-door with a 5-speed manual transmission and relatively high mileage that I scooped up for a good price out of Kenmore. It was a California truck for most of its life and is stupid clean. Aside from some dents, dings, and sunspots, she's just gorgeous. There are little things that need addressed inside and out…
