Several Northeast Ohio agencies and many volunteers are on their way to Alabama and parts of Florida to ensure that they're prepared to assist residents that may be affected by the damage of Hurricane Dorian as it prepares to make landfall along the East Coast of Florida and potentially moves North along the Atlantic Coast.

Organizations like the Red Cross will help to set up and run shelters and provide aid to those impacted, while other groups are already in Florida to help with search and rescue efforts in areas that may be ravaged by the high winds, rains and storm surge that could destroy homes and infrastructure.
