Blake Shelton announced that his next single would be "Nobody But You", his duet with girlfriend Gwen Stefani! The song is one of four new tracks on Blake's latest album Fully Loaded: God's Country.
“I was at The Voice compound and Shane McAnally is on Songland, so they were there doing some cross-promotion. Shane came to my trailer and said, ‘Man, I got a song for you,’” Blake said in a press release. “I knew he had Gwen’s number from a write, so I told him to send it to her as I was being called to set. I actually got the song twice because my producer Scott Hendricks emailed it to me right after. Then one day I was driving with Gwen and I said, “Hey let’s listen to that song from Shane, because Scott sent it to me too – it must be pretty incredible.” When I heard it, I was just floored. I realized how important that song was for me and where I am in my life right now. I just think it’s magical. I literally think it’s important of a song as I’ve ever recorded.”
Blake and Gwen will perform this song live at the 62nd Annual GRAMMY Awards on Sunday, January 26th at 8pm on CBS. Blake is nominated for Best Country Solo Performance for his 2x Platinum smash “God’s Country.”
Remember not too long ago when Blake Shelton said he wasn't really focusing on releasing new albums but rather just taking things song by song? He did do that releasing his most recent #1 "God's Country", his single "Hell Right" with Trace Adkins, and his duet with Garth Brooks "Dive Bar".
Today he announced that he will be releasing a new album... kinda.
It's called Fully Loaded: God's Country and will feature twelve tracks. Seven of the singles we will have heard already, they are hits from his previous albums, and will also include five new singles. Blake said in a press release that fans will be familiar with those songs before the album is released, "With five new songs on this album, you’ve got “God’s Country," "Hell Right" and a few more that haven’t come out yet – maybe I wasn’t supposed to say that. But the fans will hear most of the music on Fully Loaded before it hits the streets in December.”
The track listing is not availble as of yet, but the release date is December 13th. Put that on your calendar!
