Where does your pup fall?
It was national dog day Monday, and I loved to see all of the cute pet pics people were posting in recognition of the occasion. As pictured, my fiancée and I caught an adorable moment with Hank and his brand new bone. It was a special day, after all, and he's a good boy; so we busted it out. He really loves that bacon and cheese stuffed thing!
Hank is a Bloodhound who's about half a year old, and in my twenty-four years he's the only one of that breed I've personally known. That got me thinking... where does my hound dog fall on the list of the most popular dogs in the U.S.?
For 2023, according to the AKC, that's 53rd place. This checks out.

He caught a bird!
Oh, Hank...
I came upon my little goofball pup gnawing on something, and to my shock- it was a birdie! He's officially a bird dog now, I guess.
We confirmed with our camera footage that he did hunt the innocent thing straight out of the sky like a champ, and so I made sure to call him a good boy. The carcass went to the other side of the fence, and he got a reward bone.
I love my dog!
It's All About Hank!
My biggest boy is now 50 pounds. He's huge!
Hank's a great pup and training is going decent. He's a little heartthrob, I like to say. Wherever we go, he soaks up all the attention and puts smiles on faces. Somehow, he gets a treat in every drive-through too, from the bank to the burger joint. He's a good boy.
Hank just loves to socialize, and I think that's superb.
