Old Dominion has been teasing a new song on social media for a couple of weeks, and that new single is here!
"Memory Lane" was written by Matthew Ramsey with bandmates Trevor Rosen and Brad Tursi, as well as songwriter Jessie Jo Dillon, and is filled with nostalgia. They say the song is about living in your memory and going back to that spot where things were good, and wanting to live there because it just felt so good. It's not wanting to wake up from that dream of a happier time and not wanting to leave it and come back to reality.
The song ends up having a happy/sad vibe when the lyrics and the melody come together.
Kenny Chesney has released his next radio single and this one features tour mates Old Dominion! "Beer With My Friends" is a good time party anthem co-written by Shy Carter, David Lee Murphy, and Bryan Simpson. Kenny says that when he first heard the song, he knew it would be one that would truly connect with his audience.
Old Dominion released a new single from their latest album Time, Tequila & Therapy and it's the song that inspired the title of the album. You'll hear that in the first line of "No Hard Feelings", an everyday phrase that caught the attention of lead singer Matthew Ramsey. He carried that phrase around as a song title for a while before sitting down and writing a song around it with his bandmates and songwriter Shane McAnally.
Old Dominion were the musical guests earlier today on The Kelly Clarkson Show and sang "I Was On A Boat That Day":
