I saw the headline about this the other day and had to check it out. Having been to Niagara Falls several times in my life and seeing the power of this 'Natural Wonder' up close, it was hard to believe that anything could be stationary on the river above the falls for very long at all, let alone 101 years! Well, on Halloween 2019, the intense winds and rains dislodged the remains of the iron vessel for the first time since 1918.
CNN.com has pics and video, as well as the legend of the 'scow' that'd been hanging out on the rocks about 650 feet from the Horseshoe Falls for more than a Century!
With the severe storms that moved through our area on Sunday, and more possible over the next few days, here are a few helpful links:

While creeping along (due to higher than normal pedestrian traffic levels more than the water levels) on the Cherry Street Bridge in Canal Fulton Tuesday afternoon, my son Maks and I shot this VIDEO of some of the flooding in our quiet little town. I've lived in CF for the last 13 years and I've seen this area fill with a few inches of water on many occasions, but never like this. Please be safe out there and check on your loved ones, neighbors and friends in impacted areas during the next few days.
