TheAcademy of Country Music has announced the nominees for Song of the Year and Songwriter of the Year.
This year, the Academy gave songwriters a role in narrowing the field for Song of the Year nominees. The group says,
“Songwriters are at the inception of all of this; we’re privileged to have their expertise in choosing the most well-crafted
songs.”

The 51st Academy of Country Music Awards, hosted byLuke BryanandDierks Bentley, will air live from Las Vegas,
April 3rd on CBS.
Little Big Town and Kelsea Ballerini are part of the ABC TV special The Wonderful World of Disney: Disneyland 60,
celebrating Disneyland's 60th birthday.
Little Big Town will sing "Steve McQueen," which is played in the park's Cars attraction, while Kelsea will sing "Part of
Your World" fromThe Little Mermaid.
The show airs Sunday on ABC.

Congratulations to Charles Kelley and his wife Cassie on the birth of their son, Ward Charles.
In a statement Charles and Cassie said, "We can't stop staring at him and he hasn't stopped chit chatting with us since he arrived. He's got his mama's nose and his daddy's eyes and vocal cords and a
head full of blonde hair."
Cam will hopefully take the stage twice at the 2016 Grammy Awards the 15th. She’ll was announced as a presenter,
and her song “Burning House” is also nominated.
“Burning House” is among the songs in the Best Solo Country Performance category. The song was Cam’s first platinum
single and first No. 1 hit.

Longtime wine enthusiast Zac Brown has put his name on a line of fine wines.
Z. Alexander Brown's first vintage, a Cab and Red Blend, is available now. Zac says, "Wine has always fascinated me
because of its inherent connection to the land and the artistry necessary to craft a distinct and memorable experience."
Zac's website says that the wines, which are crafted on California’s North Coast, are "reflective of the unlimited potential
that can result from artists with a passion for bringing food, people and a sense of place together through creativity."
Dierks Bentley will open his third Whiskey Row bar and restaurant next year. Whiskey Row will have three stages for
live music, a made-from-scratch menu and more than 50 beers and craft cocktails.
The new location will be on Lower Broadway in Nashville, down the block from the Ryman Auditorium. The two other
Whiskey Row locations are both in Arizona. The Nashville location is slated to open next year.
