The CMA's newly crowned Female Vocalist of the Year, Carly Pearce, credits the women who have come before her for giving her the courage to write about the difficult times in her life. 
She says, "I've watched a lot of strong women in country music write their truth. Regardless of what happened, I knew I was doing exactly what I was supposed to do in making the kind of music I was supposed to make. And to see it pay off as it has, I can't even put into words how happy I am."
Carly will be co-hosting CMA Country Christmas with Gabby Barrett, which airs on November 29th on ABC.

Brad Paisley is the latest star to get into the whiskey game. His brand is American Highway and it will be available later this month.

Chris Stapleton was the big winner at last night's CMA Awards.
He won in four categories -- Male Vocalist, Album, Single and Song of The Year. 
Luke Combs earned the coveted Entertainer of the Year trophy, and a very surprised Carly Pearce tearfully claimed her first Female Vocalist win.

Brothers Osborne were back as winners for Vocal Duo of the Year, Old Dominion won Vocal Group of the Year and Jimmie Allen is the New Artist of the Year winner.
