Carrie Underwood made her big announcement yesterday.
She told fans that she'll release a new album called Story Teller on October 23rd. The first single from the album
is "Smoke Break." Carrie says she and her cowriters stumbled onto the song when they were struggling with coming
up with ideas. They decided to step outside to take a "smoke break," and thought that would be a great title for a song.

The last time Alabama put original music out, the country genre looked a little different, and the band
itself did too. Now 14 years later, Randy Owen, Teddy Gentry and Jeff Cook are slated to release a brand
new album, Southern Drawl. Since country music has changed a bit since their last go round, their sound will too.
Southern Drawl will drop on Sept. 18. There is no track listing or pre-order information available yet, but it is expected to be announced as the release date draws nearer.
The Dixie Chicks thrilled European fans recently by announcing they’d be reuniting and going on
tour across the pond, but is it possible the band will take a tour stateside? According to Natalie Maine’s
Twitter page, it might be in the cards.
Shes responded to a fan who asked if they were “ready to play nice” (a reference to their song “Not Ready to Make Nice”) yet and perform in the States, giving American fans hope for a U.S. Tour.
She said, “I'll never make nice, but I will tour the states again.”
I will keep you posted on all things chicks that are dixie!
Facebook Quitters
You know those people who quit facebook every week just to come back that day or the next day? Or those who weed out their friends and announce, "Congrats, you have made the cut!"
Here's why they do it:
They want you to think they have better things to do: It's their own inadequacies that make them feel this way. Your internet life looks a lot more exciting than the real one.
They usually loudly announce their exit: This is done in effort to ease their insecurity by hearing
how many people want them to stay.
It only takes a month or two to come back: There's the fear of missing out and the realization that they aren't getting enough attention offline.
They want to make themselves feel special: Everyone wants to feel special, and the thing is, we all are.
But asking for attention isn't how you get it.
The Weather is heating up- perfect for the pool and the beach! Here are a few people you may not want to run in to!!
Problem Beach People
The modern day pirate. He's the guy searching for gold ... using a metal detector on the beach.
The family with the mobile living room. Tent, chairs, flotation devices, toys, enough food for a month, a grill …
these people are prepared to stay for a while.
The DJ. Tunes at the beach are nice. Blasting your music so that it can be heard across the ocean.
The sports junkie. If you want to toss around a football or Frisbee for a little while, that's fine ...
but the whole day?
The PDA couple. Partaking in some borderline soft-core porn on a beach surrounded by thousands of other people, and kids, is not cool.
Kite people. Kites are fine. Trying all day to get one to fly when it isn’t windy. Not so much.
