30 years ago, Garth Brooks was a brand new artist in Nashville, he just released his debut single "Much Too Young (To Feel This Damn Old)" in March, and his debut album in April. Then on this day, June 24, 1989, he made his debut at the Grand Ole Opry! He sang his debut single and "If Tomorrow Never Comes", which would end up being his first #1 hit. Of course, that was just the start of what would become an amazing career for Garth! He was inducted into the Grand Ole Opry a little more than a year later on October 6, 1990. Since then, he's inducted other country artists, including Carrie Underwood and Chris Janson

On Garth's page on the Grand Ole Opry website he states, "I've said it for the record a thousand times. I'll state it again a thousand times. This is the pinnacle of what I do. Nothing has ever touched being a member of the Grand Ole Opry."
