Nashville News: Friday, 8/26 Alabama: Song of the South, the new exhibit celebrating the guys from Fort Payne, is open now at the Country Music  Hall of Fame in Nashville. The display features instruments, stage outfits, awards and more.  The exhibit runs through June 12th of next year.    If you want to hear Jason Aldean's new album, They Don't Know, when it's released on September 9th, you'll have to  buy it. It won't be available on any of the streaming services until a month after its release.  Jason tells Billboard, "A new album is just like anything else. When the new iPhone comes out, when you go to the  Apple store, they’re not just handing them out for free. If you want something that’s brand new, you’re willing to pay the  price for it. And then, after it’s been out for a while, you may get it at a discount. That’s just business 101." So let’s review:They Don't Know will be available at both physical and digital retailers on release day. It will then be  released to streaming services on October 9th.

Nashville News: Friday, 8/19 The Dixie Chickshave been raking in the dough since starting their first U.S. tour since 2006.  So far they've brought in $26.6 million in ticket sales -- not bad for only 29 performances. Kenny Chesney narrowly edged them out by bringing in $31.1 million for his Spread the Love tour for the same time period. So far they've attracted over 400,000 people to their shows. The tour wraps in L.A. on October 10th.    There's mutual admiration going on between Eric Church and Michael Phelps via Twitter.  Michael, who included Eric in his pre-race playlist, tweeted to him, "When you coming to AZ? It was Record Year... I wanted to have the best year that I could." Eric's team replied,"Michael Phelps, March 28th in Phoenix. DM us your info and you'll be our guest. We would be honored.  Congrats on your Record Year." It's been a record year for both Eric and Michael -- Eric picked up his seventh number one with "Record Year," and Michael picked up five gold medals at this year's Olympics.
