Success is the sum of small efforts, repeated day in and day out.
Well, the secret is out. Since we live here it can be hard to appreciate all the cool things that the Buckeye State has to offer, but to folks that live in a way less-fun state (which is apparently most of them) I guess that makes Ohio a destination for fun! A recent Survey by Wallethub.com has Ohio's "Nightlife" ranked in the Top 10, and in the Top 20 for "Entertainment and Recreation". We knew all that already though, Right? For more about how Ohio is better than most other places, CLICK to see the full results of the survey.
Thompson Sqaure has released the title track to thier third studio album Masterpiece. The song, reflecting one's greatest acheivements, and inspired by their son Cooper, was written by Keifer Thompson, and Shawna Thompson says when they sing it on stage, they both get very emotional about the lyrics. The video is also very personal, with footage that takes fans inside their lives.
Last Friday I played in the Junior Achievement Golf Outing at the terrific Chenoweth Golf Course in Akron and it was a great time!
I know, playing golf is fun, and spending the day with workmates on the course, eating good food and the rest of it doesn't sound like tough duty, and it's not. But there is something good about supporting people that are worth supporting and Junior Achievement is one of those groups.
Everyone made us feel so welcome, and the day was so great. Feel free to support JA in the Akron area. This outing has been going on a long time, and with good reason.
Good people! Support Junior Acheivement!
After seeing a show on all things Parma, the Warren and I headed up for a little impromptu trip to get some delicious treats from Rudy’s Strudel and Bakery and Chuppa’s Market.
The Warren likes to watch local shows about hidden gems in Ohio, then make a list and travel there. Most times, we get as far as the list, but this time he really wanted to try this strudel and I was on board because there was meat involved too!
The first stop was Rudy’s Strudel and Bakery on Ridge Rd. They have all the European baked goods along with pierogies. They have been open since 1948 and it shows! We bought so many things and they have strudel, paczki, danishes, cookies and more- and they ladies in the store were so beyond nice. We will be back.
Then we went to Chuppa’s Market Place on Pearl Rd. This place is amazing and a nice place to visit for a special treat.
Take a look at each of their websites and take an adventure like we did. It is fun to realize all the great places we have around NEO!

A simple hello could lead to a million things.
While this may not be on my personal 'short list' of wants for Father's Day, maybe your dad (or you yourself) likes this kind of stuff. Chocolate Covered PICKLES will be available in Malley's Chocolates stores, while supplies last, starting this Friday June 14th. If that doesn't sound like your ideal flavor combo, the legendary Northeast Ohio Chocolatiers will also be selling Chocolate Covered Grapes this weekend as well. There will be no shipping option for the gherkins this year so you will have to stop into one of their nearly 2 dozen stores, and you can find one and get more info HERE
Trisha Yearwood has a full-length album on the way, and she released the first single from it called "Every Girl In This Town"! The song takes a look back on Trisha's youth and reminds us to always dream big. She told People that this first single will set the tone for the rest of the album. What do you think about it?
Trisha has announced a new tour to go along with her new single and upcoming album! She'll make a stop in Cleveland on October 27th at the KeyBank State Theater at Playhouse Square. Tickets go on sale June 21st at 10am!
